There are two types of membership in CVCA:

  • full membership
  • associate membership

In both cases, in order to join the Association a written application must be completed and a recommendation for acceptance of the member must be obtained from 3 current members of the Board of Directors. Forms can be downloaded here.

The difference between the two types of membership in the Association lies primarily in the activities performed by the members. A full member must carry out the activities of a private equity (or venture capital) investor and must manage and invest funds from third parties. An associate member may be a consulting company, law firm, or other firm providing services related to the PE/VC sector. All companies applying for associate membership must conduct their activities in the PE/VC sector.

Every Association member shall pay a one-time entry fee and a regular annual fee that varies depending on the type of membership:

CZK 15,000   one-time entry fee for full members
CZK 20,000   annual fee for full members
CZK 15,000   one-time entry fee for associate members
CZK 20,000 annual fee for associate members
CZK 10,000 annual fee for nonprofit organizations
